MANHATTAN BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police Wednesday were asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect involved in two recent vehicle burglaries in Manhattan Beach.

The first incident took place Oct. 13 between 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. in the Northrop Grumman parking lot, 1801 Marine Ave. The suspect smashed the victim’s vehicle window with a gas cap and stole her purse.

Another woman parked in her vehicle in the same parking on Oct. 26 and sometime between 6:11 p.m. and 6:21 p.m. a suspect smashed the vehicle’s rear window and stole the victim’s purse and Apple iPad.

Security footage from the scene revealed a red 2005 Ford Explorer parked next to both victim’s vehicles during the time of the burglaries.

Anyone with information about the suspect, vehicle or crimes was asked to contact Det. Shawn Thompson at (310)802-5124.
