NEWPORT BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Six people have been injured, at least one seriously, in a head-on collision in Orange County.

The two-car crash happened about 11:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators say one car collided with a second vehicle as it transitioned from the Pacific Coast Highway to Newport Boulevard.

Police say one person was taken to an area hospital in serious condition while three others had minor injuries.

The injuries of the other two people have not been released.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
