IRVINE (AP) –– Allen Huddleston launched a 3-pointer from half court at the overtime buzzer, lifting Fresno State over UC Irvine 98-87 on Friday night.

Huddleston came off the bench to score 12 for Fresno State. His game-winner was one his of two 3-pointers. Marvelle Harris scored a career-high 30 points for the Bulldogs, and added a career-best five assists. Five Bulldogs scored in double figures as Fresno State erased a 12-point gap in the final 13 minutes of regulation to force overtime at 85-85 on a Harris 3-pointer.

The teams traded the lead nine times in OT — five in the final minute. Alex Young hit a 3-pointer to give the Anteaters a 97-95 lead with five seconds left.

Chris McNealy led the Anteaters (1-0) with 27 points and Young added 20. UC Irvine out-rebounded Fresno State 45-32.
