Public Safety Officer Accused Of Soliciting Sex Act From A Minor

LONG BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Detectives want to know if there are any other victims of a man accused of soliciting a sex act from a minor.

Shamalar Fields, 36, of Los Angeles, was arrested on Sept. 28 after allegedly approaching a minor, who was on foot, and soliciting a sex act. Fields has been charged with one misdemeanor count of annoying a child in connection with the crime.

Fields, who is free on bond, is employed as a public safety officer with the state of California at Exposition Park.
