ENCINO (CBSLA.com) — A spokesperson for the LAPD says a 15-year-old boy has been found safe after he was reporting missing Tuesday.

Authorities asked for the public’s help locating Jose Vilchis, who had last been seen Oct. 22 when his mother dropped him off at the Magnolia Science School in Encino at approximately 7:45 a.m.

Detectives said the teenager may have run away after a disagreement with his mother.

Authorities told CBSLA.com that Vilchis has been located and is unharmed. No further details were available as of publication time.
