Woman Sues Forest Lawn After Alleged Coyote Attack At Mother's Gravesite

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A woman has filed suit against the owners Forest Lawn Hollywood Hills amid claims she was attacked by a coyote while visiting her mother's grave.

City News Service reports Mari Teroganesian filed documents against Forest Lawn Memorial Park Association and Forest Lawn Mortuary in Los Angeles Superior Court October 9, alleging negligence and premises liability.

The claims stem from an alleged incident on August 2, when Teroganesian says she was "viciously attacked" while visiting her mother's plot, causing her to suffer "various severe and permanent injuries".

The woman argues a lack of preventative measures were taken by cemetery officials to prevent the attack. She also claims park officials failed to warn visitors of such risk.

Teroganesian is seeking unspecified damages.

A representative for Forest Lawn was not available for comment when contacted by CBSLA.
