Will Ferrell Dons Trojan Armor To Lead Marching Band For Charity

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Comedian Will Ferrell is fighting on in the battle against cancer at his alma mater, the University of Southern California.

Ferrell, who graduated in 1990, made an appearance Monday night in full Tommy Trojan garb as he led the school’s band, The Spirit of Troy, in its legendary fight song.

Ferrell is the spokesman for friend and fellow alum Craig Pollard’s charity, Cancer for College, which helps students who are battling the deadly disease attend school.

The comedian’s full performance with The Spirit of Troy was captured in a three-minute video posted on YouTube.

Ferrell studied Sports Information and was a member of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity while at USC.
