Cast Your Vote For The Fan Built Episode Of Hawaii Five-0!

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Ever want to write your own ending for a television show?

Producers behind Hawaii Five-0 are giving fans of the series the opportunity to become involved in the process - inviting viewers to build an episode to broadcast later this season.

For the next three weeks, viewers can log on to CBS.com and vote for six key story elements they want writers of the crime drama to take on.

Viewers can select one of seven choices in each of the categories, which include: the scene of the crime, the victim, the murder weapon used, the evidence, the suspect and where the takedown takes place.

Voting closes on October 31, when writers will begin work on the fan built episode, which will kickstart production in Oahu in February.

Viewers will have continued input throughout the season.

Fans will be able to vote on prop and wardrobe January 10-17, on music February 14-21 and on the episode title March 7-14.

"Last season's 'choose-your-own-ending' vote marked a television first," Marc DeBevoise, EVP and GM, Entertainment, News & Sports for CBS Interactive said.

"With this episode, we're building on that milestone by creating interactive elements that give fans the ability to help shape the episode."
