Small Fires Caused By Arcing Electrical Lines Damage Home In North Tustin
LEMON HEIGHTS (CBSLA.com) — Arcing power lines sparked a rash of small fires that resulted in slight exterior damage to a home in northern Tustin.
Those fires in the hilly neighborhood of Lemon Heights near Skyline Drive at Beverly Glen Drive were apparently started when wind had blown tree branches onto power lines, causing the electrical lines to arc and spark.
About 50 firefighters were dispatched to the area early Saturday morning.
Just after the fires were put out, the National Weather Service reported that winds were blowing at 16 miles per hour and gusting to 25 miles per hour.
