Visit The Artisan Market This Weekend At WET, W Los Angeles' Pool Area!
STUDIO CITY (KCAL9) — Chef Dakota Weiss from the W Los Angeles-Westwood stopped by KCAL9 Friday to tell viewers about The Artisan Market at WET, the hotel's pool area!
The event, hosted by Choice Hospitality Group, will take place Sunday, Oct. 6 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Weiss also showed viewers how to make the Housemade Veggie Patty with Avocado Aioli that are some items that will be featured on the special BBQ menu
Veggie Patty:
1 cup cooked red quinoa
1 cup cooked black beans
4 oz. smoked cheddar (shredded)
1 bunch cilantro (chopped)
1/3 cup bread crumbs
1 each egg (whipped)
To taste salt
Method:
Mix all ingredients together in a mixer with a paddle (or with your hands) until they start to come together (enough to hold a shape) if it is too loose still you can add more bread crumbs to help bind it. Sear the patty on each side to get a good crunchy crust. Serve with sliced tomatoes, butter lettuce and smear with avocado aioli and Carrot chips
Avocado Aioli:
2 egg yolks
1 avocado
2 each garlic cloves (minced)
1/2 cup blended EVOO
2 tbls. Champagne vinegar
To taste salt
Method:
Add all ingredients into a robot coupe except for the blended EVOO. Mix well, slowly add the oil and season with the salt.
