Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Sept. 16)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The atmospheric setup on this Monday is very similar to yesterday.

We are looking at clear skies for most of the area, however, there are some patchy dense clouds hugging the coast in Orange County.  This cloud deck is shallow but dense.

There is a dense fog advisory for the O.C. and San Diego the coastline until 10 a.m.

Otherwise,  expect daytime highs to be above average. We may get a better afternoon sea-breeze which will make things feel a little better in the basin.

Inland temperatures will remain warm.

Look for a cooling trend through the middle of the week.  In fact, from Monday to Tuesday, we will see a fairly decent drop in temperatures by about 7 to 10 degrees in 24 hours.  There will be a minor bump in temps on Thursday, then cooler for Friday again.

Expect the low clouds to return by Tuesday.

Basin - upper 80s

Beaches - mid 70s

Valleys - upper 90s to near 100

Mountains - mid 70s

Deserts - mid to upper 90s
