VAN NUYS (CBSLA.com) — Fire officials said a woman was seriously hurt when the driver of a U-Haul crashed the truck into a pharmacy Saturday.

Firefighters said a woman on the sidewalk may have been sideswiped by the truck or hit by flying debris. No one inside the store on Sepulveda Blvd. near Victory Blvd. was hurt.

One witness said the truck drove through several aisles of merchandise before it stopped.

The driver was not hurt.

Valley Traffic Detectives are investigating the cause of the crash.
