The latest incident happened two days ago. Police said a 54-year-old woman was sleeping on her couch when the suspect entered and grabbed her private parts.

The victim tried to fight back, but the suspect punched her in the face and took off.

Det. Marc Madero of the LAPD's Mission Station said the suspect was described as a 20-something Hispanic man.

"This is a person who is not afraid to confront people while they're sleeping in their homes, which is very concerning to us," he said.

Madero encouraged residents to keep their doors and windows closed at night.

"We want to alert the community and make people aware of what's occurring," he said.
