Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 19)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — A cut off low spinning off-shore right now continues to hold in place.

The air circulating around this pressure center is pulling up some monsoonal moisture, but it is mainly to the south and east of the area.

There is a slight chance for t-storm development again this afternoon.  That activity could creep into the San Gabriel Valley and the Inland Empire, but it is more likely in the high desert and Mountain areas.

Otherwise, we can expect the marine layer to thicken up slightly.  Temperatures will hover just below seasonal averages all week long.

While there will be some slight warming at the end of the week,  we will remain in a general on-shore flow.

Basin - upper 70s to low 80s

Beaches - low 70s

Valleys - low to mid 90s

Mountains - upper 70s

Deserts - low 100s
