Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Aug. 6)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — It is another morning with low cloud cover over Southern California.

The low cloud deck is a little more extensive this morning. The on-shore flow continues to dominate, which means temps continue to run well below seasonal averages.

Most basin cities today can expect slightly cooler daytime highs from yesterday.

An area of low pressure is beginning to move east into Northern California and it will slowly move east over the next several days, which means it will remain cool.

By next week, high pressure builds back in and we can expect the return of 80s and seasonable temperatures.

Basin - mid to upper 70s

Beaches - low to mid 70s

Valleys - upper 80s

Mountains - mid 70s

Deserts - mid 90s
