FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Fontana police have arrested three people in connection to the murder of Alejandro Padilla.

The body of the 40-year-old father of two was found last month inside a burning vehicle, which was confirmed to have belonged to the victim.

The vehicle was found in a public park in the 1000 block of Etiwanda Street in Rialto, about six miles from his home on Beechcraft Avenue.

Today, detectives arrested 18-year-old Edward Morales and 18-year-old Richard Gonzalez.

Investigators say Morales had dated Padilla’s daughter and knew the victim.

Police also arrested Morales’ mother as an accessory to murder.
