Rialto Woman Found Safe After Allegedly Being Kidnapped By Ex-Boyfriend

RIALTO (CBSLA.com) — An 18-year-old woman was found safe Monday after she was allegedly lured to a San Bernardino County bank and kidnapped by her estranged boyfriend.

Melissa Angula, of Rialto, was located sometime Monday morning after her alleged kidnapper, 29-year-old Cristoval Avila, was arrested at his sister's home in San Bernardino.

Angula was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Sunday at a Western Union, 507 S. Riverside Avenue, in Rialto, police said.

According to authorities, Angula was lured to the location by Avila to pick up money he had promised her.

"While inside of the location, she was confronted by Avila and forced into his dark colored Scion XB with chrome rims which was parked in front of the location," Cpt. Randy De Anda said.

The incident was captured on surveillance video.

Angula was not injured in the incident.
