LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies Tuesday were searching for a suspect wanted in a carjacking and kidnapping in Alondra Park.

The victims were sitting in their vehicle in the parking lot of the park around 5:15 p.m. on July 19 when the suspect reportedly entered the vehicle and forcibly obtained the key from the driver.

The suspect then drove away from the park with two victims in the backseat and left the driver standing in the parking lot.

The suspect crashed into multiple vehicles and allegedly threatened to kill the victims after they pleaded with him to see them free.

The suspect fled after crashing into another vehicle at Van Ness Boulevard and Imperial Highway in the city of Hawthorne.

He is described as a Black man between 20 and 25 years old, six feet tall, weighing 170 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

LA County Sheriff’s Parks Bureau asks anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect to call (661)294-3544.
