STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Nicolas Orozco-Valdivia, one of two local students participating in this year’s Smithsonian Latino Center’s Young Ambassador Program, appeared on KCAL9 News on Saturday morning.
The competitive, life-changing program teaches recent high school graduates about arts, humanities, and sciences.
Orozco-Valdivia, a graduate of Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, spent a week in Washington, D.C., touring the nation’s capital and learning about the work implemented by Smithsonian Institutions across the country. He is also interning at the Museum of Latin American Art.
