Girl, 11, Dies And 8-Year-Old Boy Hit Crossing Street In Santa Ana
SANTA ANA (CBSLA.com) — One of two children hit by a vehicle while crossing the street in Santa Ana Wednesday evening has died.
A spokesperson for the Santa Ana Police Department told City News Service an 11-year-old girl and an eight-year-old boy were crossing Bristol and 10th Streets with an adult at approximately 8:45 p.m. when the girl was fatally struck.
One of the children was hit by two cars.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital.
The condition of the surviving child has not yet been released.
Both vehicles involved stopped and the drivers are cooperating with police on the scene.
