Pasadena Police Wound Suspect In Officer-Involved Shooting

PASADENA (CBSLA.com) — Pasadena police wounded a man Saturday in an officer-involved shooting.

Authorities said the suspect -- believed to be armed -- ran into an apartment complex while being chased by police.

Patrol officers responded to a call of a fight in progress at 9:30 p.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of North Garfield Avenue, police said.

"When officers attempted to detain the suspect, he fled on foot into an apartment complex, where an officer involved shooting ultimately occurred," police said. The suspect received a non-life-threatening injury to his arm.

The suspect was transported to a hospital for treatment, police said.

No officers or civilians were injured.

Pasadena police detectives continue to investigate the shooting.
