Alex Thomas Celebrity Golf Tournament To Benefit Pediatric Cancer Patients

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Actor and stand-up comedian, Alex Thomas, discussed his upcoming celebrity golf tournament to benefit pediatric cancer patients on KCAL9 News on Sunday morning.

Thomas says about 25 pro-athletes and celebrities are expected to attend the 4th Annual Alex Thomas Celebrity Golf Tournament.

The event takes place Monday, July 15, at the Mountain Gate Country Club in Los Angeles.

Thomas said he has personally battled cancer.

He started the Alex Thomas Foundation, an organization devoted to providing support for pediatric cancer patients and their families.

Thomas plays "Jamal Tayor" in the comedy series "Mr. Box Office." The sitcom airs on KCAL9 at 2:30 p.m. on Saturdays.
