Reports: Dwight Howard Headed To Houston

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Multiple reports say Dwight Howard appears likely to leave the Los Angeles Lakers and join the Houston Rockets, though neither camp had been notified as of Friday.

Rockets and Lakers officials told CBS2's Jim Hill that neither side has been officially notified of Howard's decision by anyone in his camp.

Hill reports that Howard is flying back to Los Angeles and plans to meet with Laker General Manager Mitch Kupchak Friday evening, and that the financial terms of the Lakers offer are still weighing heavily on his mind.

Howard reportedly does not want to play for Lakers head coach Mike D'Antoni.

Laker fans have been waiting for a decision for the last few days.

The team's ownership group recently put billboards on the side of the STAPLES center asking the free agent to stay.
