RIVERSIDE (CBS/AP) — Crews in Sycamore are trying to get the upper hand on a 280-acre brush fire that started around 1 p.m. in Riverside.

The flames are in the middle of sycamore Canyon Wilderness Park.

More than 100 firefighters were trying to reach the flames in steep terrain and were aided by two helicopters and four air tankers as the blaze covered close to 300 acres, according to the Riverside Press-Enterprise.

Full containment was expected by late Friday.

No injuries have been reported.
