Detectives Investigating Murder Of 45-Year-Old Lancaster Mom
LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Monday were investigating the death of a 45-year-old Lancaster mother.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a call at a residence in the 2500 block of East Avenue I at 9 p.m. Sunday.
The victim, who has been identified as Lidia Castillo, was found dead at the home.
“Detectives have learned that the victim had been living at the location with her boyfriend,” Sgt. Rich Pena said. “Family members went to the location last night to check on her welfare since she had not been heard from since June 19th.”
The residence, which is located in a mobile home park, had reportedly been ransacked.
Castillo’s boyfriend has not been seen since her murder. Her 2007 red Chevy Impala with Nevada license plates was also missing from the residence, police said.
Details surrounding her death were not immediately released.
Detectives were asking for the public’s help in the case. Anyone with information should contact the LASD’s Homicide Bureau at (323)890-5500.
