Dash-Cam Captures Alleged Racist Road Rage On 10, 110 Freeways

VENICE BEACH (CBSLA.com) — A driver's dashboard cameras captured another motorist's alleged racist road rage on the 10 and 110 freeways in Los Angeles.

Austin Ho was heading home from work in his father's Prius, which was recently equipped with dash-cams from Taiwan, on the eastbound 10 Freeway Friday night when he said a driver started to shout racial slurs at him for no reason.

"He pulls alongside of me, sees me and then cuts me off. At that point, I was the target of his craziness," said Ho.

In the video, which Ho later posted on YouTube, the suspect can be seen repeatedly stopping in the middle of traffic, sticking his head out of the window and yelling at Ho.

The enraged driver with Illinois plates also got out of his car and ran at Ho.

"When he got out of the car, I actually kind of chuckled a little bit because he skipped over to my car and then his appearance was…I didn't expect him to have his pants tucked in," said Ho.

At one point, the suspect threw a can out of his window, which hit Ho's car.

"Usually you doubt yourself and you think, 'I probably exaggerated what happened.' But I watched it and what I remembered was pretty correct," said Ho.

The California Highway Patrol has opened up an investigation into the case.
