Suspect Sought In String Of Armed Burglaries In Corona

CORONA (CBSLA.com) — Corona police are warning residents to remain alert in the wake of a string of armed burglaries in the city.

Investigators say a suspect is wanted in connection to the burglaries of several homes around Promenade Avenue between Buchanan and McKinley avenues in the past two days.

In one incident, the suspect shot and killed the family dog.

The suspect is described as a black or Hispanic adult male, approximately 17 to 20-years-old.

He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt.

Authorities are asking anyone who sees suspicious activity or persons to contact the Corona Police Department immediately by dialing 911.

Police warn not to approach the suspect if seen.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to call Detective Robert Gonzalez at (951) 279-3637.

The investigation is ongoing.
