ORANGE (CBSLA.com) — Father's Day at St. Joseph Hospital of Orange has new dads grinning from ear-to-ear and swapping birth stories like they were talking sports.

KNX 1070's Vytas Safroncikas reports that the hospital recently unveiled its new nursery.

Among the unit's new features are 50 new rooms with better beds for mom, bassinets for baby, and couches for dad. The new rooms also come equipped with a specially shaped sink that doubles as a baby bath.

"For us to be able to bathe her in here. The whole birthing process, everything was in the room. She never left us and coming up here, everything we need is right here," Thais Souza, who gave birth to 6-pound, 14-ounce Olivia Rose, told CBS2's Joy Benedict.

"My oldest son was born on Christmas eve so he was my Christmas present. And she was born on Father's Day eve, so she's my Father's Day present," the baby's father, Glen Souza, said.

Glen said Olivia Rose was born at 8 p.m. Saturday.

"The doctor at the last minute said we're getting this baby out and five minutes and two pushes … it was literally three pushes and she was out. It was amazing. It was a miracle of life," he said.

"This is a dream come true. To have a little girl. I didn't think I was going to have a girl. I don't know if I'll be a great dad to a girl. I hope so. I hope I can learn to protect her and be a good dad to her," he said.
