OC Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Having Sex With Boy

BREA (AP) — A math teacher in Orange County has been arrested for allegedly having sex with one of her students.

Authorities say 45-year-old Michele Lynn Johnson was booked for investigation of having sexual intercourse with a minor and released earlier this week after posting $20,000 bail.

Police say Johnson is a teacher at Brea Olinda High School, which has about 1,900 students. The student's father told police about the alleged incidents and Johnson was later arrested.

The boy, whose age wasn't released, told authorities the alleged sexual encounters occurred more than once.

School district officials say Johnson has been placed on paid administrative leave.
