Burglary Suspect Killed In Deputy-Involved Shooting

MENIFEE (CBSLA.com) — A suspect in a burglary-in-progress was shot and killed by a sheriff’s deputy early Saturday morning.

A deputy responded to a call of a home burglary-in-progress in the 23000 block of Norma Drive in Menifee, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

Authorities said the shooting occurred when the suspect confronted the sheriff’s deputy.

Additional details, including names of the deputy and suspect, were not immediately available.
