Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (May 23)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — A coastal eddy has brought the gray skies to the Southland once again.

The marine layer is even strong enough to warrant some drizzle in foothill communities.

The gusty winds we had yesterday in the latter half of the day have relaxed, however a new round of wind advisories will kick in after noon today.

Temperatures will once again top out in the 70s in the LA Basin and upper 70s to low 80s for inland areas.  Beaches will still be in the 60s.

The afternoon will be marked by hazy sunshine.  It looks like the trough that is bringing this marine layer will lift a bit on Friday.  That should translate into a couple of degrees of warming.

Saturday and Sunday look decent, then cooling is expected again with a strong Northwest flow on Memorial Day.

Basin - low 70s

Beaches - upper 60s

Valleys - upper 70s

Mountains - mid 60s

Deserts - low 80s
