REDONDO BEACH  (CBSLA.com) — Considering a stay-cation this summer?

Southern California has plenty of fun, relatively inexpensive and fascinating ways to while away the hours.

One such activity — the Yellow Glass Bottom Boat Tour of King Harbor in Redondo Beach.

The boat — called a semi-submarine —  takes out 19 passengers at a time. Patrons get to see sea life up close — schools of fish, sea lions —  without getting wet.

The Yellow Glass Bottom Boat operates five days a week, including weekends.
