1 Hurt In Deputy-Involved Shooting Near Valley College

VALLEY GLEN (CBSLA.com) — A Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputy was involved in a shooting in the San Fernando Valley, authorities said Wednesday.

L.A. City Fire officials responded to a call around 12 p.m. along the 5800 block of Allott Avenue in Valley Glen, according to authorities.

One suspect was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a leg wound, according to Sheriff's Homicide Bureau detectives. A second suspect was taken into custody.

SKY9's Gil Leyvas reported the shooting may have been connected with a robbery suspect.

The site of the shooting was about two blocks away from the L.A. Valley College campus.

No other details were available.
