STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com)— Singer, songwriter and actress Nita Whitaker LaFontaine visited the KCAL9 studios Tuesday to talk about her new memoir, Finding My Voice: My Journey through Grief to Grace: Living with the Loss of Don LaFontaine.

The memoir is both a love story and a painfully raw portrayal of Nita’s journey through grief and recovery after losing Don LaFontaine in 2008. She also discussed her nonprofit organization, “In a World With Books”, which she founded in honor of her late husband.

Don was the most successful voice-over actor in history, but his proudest achievement was his family.
