Chris Brown’s Neighbors Outraged Over ‘Monster Graffiti’ On His Hollywood Hills Home

HOLLYWOOD HILLS (CBSLA.com) — Dozens of Chris Brown’s neighbors are less than thrilled about “monster graffiti” on the singer’s Hollywood Hills home.

Patti Negri, who represents some residents who live near Brown, said the spray-painted murals on the 24-year-old’s four-story home are unacceptable.

“I get all the phone calls and I get all the emails. People are just upset by it,” she said.

City Councilman Tom LaBonge said the artwork is against the city’s ordinance for “unpermitted and excessive signage” and Brown has been cited.

Moreover, if the mural is not swiftly removed, the star will be fined, added LaBonge.

“He has a beautiful home that he lives in, but that type of image is not what is allowed by code,” he said.

Negri said she just wants Brown to be a friendly neighbor.

“We’re happy to have him here as a neighbor. We have a lot of wonderful, creative, celebrity-type neighbors, but just be a neighbor,” she said.

Not everyone, however, is against Brown’s graffiti.

His next door neighbor, Vincent Bouvier, said Brown should be able to do what he wants to his property.

“You know, it’s an expression of art. I mean, he has very beautiful cars and it’s a beautiful house. You like it or not, it’s not a big deal,” he said.

KCAL9’s Brittney Hopper tried to reach out to Brown’s camp for comment, but didn’t get a response.
