15-Year-Old Boy Arrested For Allegedly Bringing Unloaded Gun To Diamond Bar School
DIAMOND BAR (CBSLA.com) — A 15-year-old boy was arrested Friday after allegedly bringing an unloaded gun to a Diamond Bar high school.
The student, who is not eligible for bail, was taken into custody for possession of a firearm on school grounds, possession of a stolen firearm and a minor in possession of a firearm. He was booked at the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff's Station and transported to juvenile hall.
Deputies said they responded to a report of a student with a gun around 12:30 p.m. at Diamond Ranch High School located at 100 Diamond Ranch Road.
Authorities found the suspect and then discovered an unloaded firearm inside the student's backpack in a classroom.
It was later determined the weapon was reported stolen in 2008.
