HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police Monday were looking for a suspect who shot a man in the chest inside a Hollywood nightclub.

The shooting happened around 1 a.m. at My Studio, located at 6623 Hollywood Boulevard, Los Angeles police said.

When police arrived at the club, they found a man in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound to his upper torso, police told KNX 1070’s Pete Demetriou.

He was transported to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where he was last listed in critical, but stable condition.

Authorities believe the shooting may have been gang-related.

The suspect fled the scene in an unknown vehicle. Police hope to use security footage to identify him.
