Coroner Identifies Motorcyclist, 24, Killed In 3-Vehicle Moreno Valley Crash

MORENO VALLEY (CBSLA.com)  — The Coroner has identified the 24-year-0ld motorcyclist killed in a three-vehicle crash in Moreno Valley.

Sean Jones, a Moreno Valley resident, was struck by a Mercedes-Benz that crossed into his path at Moreno Beach Drive and Bay Avenue, according to authorities.

The accident occurred at 9:11 p.m. Saturday.

The Mercedes was reportedly heading south on Moreno Beach Drive when it turned left and ran into Jones, who was ejected on impact. The car then crashed into a GMC Yukon that was stopped on westbound Bay Avenue, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

Jones was taken to the Riverside County Regional Medical Center. He died about 9:45 p.m.

The man driving the Mercedes was treated at a nearby hospital for minor injuries. The women in the GMC Yukon was unhurt.

No one was arrested.

The Moreno Valley Police Department's Traffic Division asked any witnesses to call them at (951) 486-6900.
