SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — A man was fatally struck by a vehicle Wednesday morning in Sylmar.

The accident happened just before 5 a.m. near the intersection of Hubbard Street and Dronfield Avenue, the Los Angeles County Coroner’s office said.

The driver stopped following the collision and cooperated with authorities.

The unidentified man, who was pushing a shopping cart at the time of the accident, died at the scene, police said.
