Child Hurt In Apparent Hit-And-Run In Riverside

RIVERSIDE (CBSLA.com) — A child reportedly faced life-threatening injuries Monday after an apparent hit-and-run during a possible street racing incident in the city of Riverside.

Police responded to an injury traffic collision call at around 2:09 p.m. at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and School Circle Drive, according to the Riverside Fire Department.

Two vehicles were racing when a reportedly stolen car hit another vehicle that was pulling out of a driveway, KCAL9's Greg Mills reported.

A child of unspecified age was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center with serious injuries.

Both vehicles involved in the crash fled the scene, according to reports.

No other information was immediately available.
