Officials Uncover Marijuana Candy Manufacturing Operation In Altadena

ALTADENA (CBSLA.com) — Authorities Saturday said two people have been arrested in connection with a marijuana candy manufacturing and sales operation in Altadena.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said in a statement that several pounds of marijuana were recovered after detectives executed a search warrant.

The warrant was served in the 500 block of Figueroa Drive after detectives received information of the illegal drugs.

Authorities said lollipops, chocolate bars, and other homemade "candy" were recovered. Equipment allegedly used to make the illegal candy was also found.

Officials have not released the identity of the suspects, citing an ongoing investigation.
