Pursuit Suspect Leads CHP On 2 County Chase

TARZANA (CBSLA.com) — A male suspect led police on a high speed chase through two counties Friday morning.

The chase began in around 8:26 a.m. in Tarzana, when the suspect, driving a Silver Mitsubishi convertible, refused to stop for authorities, the California Highway Patrol said.

The suspect, wanted for evading, speeding and reckless driving, led the CHP on the westbound Ventura (101) Freeway through the San Fernando Valley and into Ventura County where he continued onto the streets of Thousand Oaks.

Investigators are trying to determine if the vehicle was stolen.

The suspect lost control of his vehicle around 8:49 a.m. and subsequently arrested.

His identity was not released.
