LAFD Airlifts Hiker In Distress Near Castle Peak
WEST HILLS (CBSLA.com) — A hiker was airlifted Thursday in the Woodland Hills area after reportedly suffering from a medical issue.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a call that a hiker was in distress around 8:45 a.m. on the south side of Castle Peak near Vanowen Street and Valley Circle Boulevard.
The man was hoisted from a steep terrain and taken to a local hospital in serious condition, according to the LAFD.
The second hiker was uninjured and escorted on ground by a firefighter.
