Burbank Student Arrested For Alleged Threats On Twitter

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — A 16-year-old Burbank high school student faced charges Wednesday for allegedly making cyber-threats against another student.

The unidentified male student at John Burroughs High School was arrested on Tuesday around 6 p.m. after the suspect made a reference to past national school shootings, according to Burbank Police.

After receiving several calls from concerned students and parents, police launched an investigation and interviewed both the alleged victim and suspect.

The investigation led to charges against the suspect for making terrorist threats, police said.

The alleged threat appeared to be an isolated incident, according to police.

No other information was immediately available.
