Human Remains Found Near Whittier Narrows Dam In Pico Rivera

PICO RIVERA (CBSLA.com) — Human remains were found Tuesday morning near Whittier Narrows Dam in the Pico Rivera area.

Los Angeles County flood control workers were conducting a survey around 8:40 a.m. when they discovered the decomposed remains along the west bank of the San Gabriel River near Bicentennial Park.

The remains appeared to be at the location for several months.

Authorities said forensic testing will be required to determine the victim's identification and the cause and time of death.
