Billups Leaves Game After Re-Aggravating His Groin Against Hornets

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- Chauncey Billups has left the Los Angeles Clippers' game against the New Orleans Hornets after aggravating a nagging right groin strain.

Clippers spokesman Dennis Rogers on Wednesday night says Billups is out for the remainder of the game.

Billups, who had missed the Clippers three previous games, was inserted in the starting lineup in New Orleans. However, he could be seen grimacing as he walked to the bench early in the third quarter.

The veteran guard was playing in only his 20th game this season. He had 11 points and two assists in 13 minutes against the Hornets, hitting three of four 3-pointers he attempted in the first half to help Los Angeles take a 56-48 lead at halftime.
