Family Grief-Stricken Over Stolen Puppy

BREA (CBSLA.com) — An Orange County family had their car stolen from a restaurant parking lot Sunday, but what they really want back is their dog.

Fudge, a four-month-old black and brown Dachshund, was in a carrying case in the back of the stolen Chevy Tahoe.

When last seen, Fudge was wearing a "I Love My Pet" brand harness.

The Garcia family believes their dark blue Tahoe (CA license 5MTM383) was stolen between 1:45 p.m. and 4 p.m.

The family was inside Buca di Beppo restaurant in Brea celebrating a birthday.

"Fudge is only roughly seven pounds. We are extremely distraught over the loss of Fudge. Nothing in this world would bring us greater joy than being reunited with him," said Fernando Garcia Jr.

He added, "We are willing to do whatever it takes to bring him back. And if found, please tell people to feed and take care of him. We love him so much."

If you have any information about Fudge, please email garcia.fernando.jr@gmail.com.
