OXNARD (CBSLA.com) — Authorities are investigating the fatal stabbing of an unidentified man in Oxnard.

The victim was found by Oxnard police in the 600 block of West Hueneme Road about 12:12 a.m. Saturday.

A department statement says the man was taken to Ventura County Medical Center where he underwent surgery but died as a result of his injury.

Investigators say they are following up on leads and motives.

The victim has not been identified.
