LAS VEGAS (CBSLA.com) After leading the Bruins to a 66-64 win over the Arizona Wildcats, UCLA freshman Jordan Adams broke his right foot during the final play of the Pac-12 Tournament.
“If anybody watched the game, Jordan really sacrificed his entire body the entire game,” said his teammate Larry Drew II while crying to reporters. “He’s a tough kid. If it was up to him he’d be out here to come out and play.”
The freshman, who scored 24 points, told CBSSports.com that broke his foot on the final play of the game while defending Arizona’s Solomon Hill
“It’s tough,” he said to CBS Sports. “But things happen in life and you’ve got to deal with it.”
The Bruins will move on the freshman and will face either the Oregon Ducks or Utah Utes for the Pac-12 Tournament Title.
