Josh Rubenstein's Weather Forecast (Mar. 13)

STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — The ridge over the west coast continues to strengthen and we will warm up a bit Wednesday and Thursday.  These will be the warmest days of the extended period.  So enjoy this taste of spring.

The only hiccup in the forecast is a deck of dense fog that has moved into some coastal areas.  There is a dense fog advisory up and down the coast and it will run until 9 a.m.

The marine layer should burn off quickly and we will be left with hazy sunshine, however depending on the persistence of that marine layer, it may keep things cool for some beach communities.

The ridge breaks down on Friday and Saturday, but we are still going to remain a good 5 to 6 degrees above average.

It looks like we have a cool down headed our way next week. I'm watching a trough in the middle of the week to see if it is possible to get any rain from it.
